Festive Date Ideas- Blogmas Day 18

Dates, dates and more dates – I have to say, they are one of my favourite things to do! I still make it a priority in my relationship to go on regular dates where we can get dressed up a little bit and have a few cocktails or drinks and a lovely meal – ahhh devine.

Going on dates during the cold season can be a little tricky, especially if you are like me and want to do outdoor activities. You’d much rather be curled up in bed watching a movie right?

Wander through a Christmas market!

So, wait until it is the evening when it’s dark and all of the lights are lit and grab the both of you a hot chocolate and take a stroll down a Christmas market. Looking at the stalls, going on the ferris wheel and playing some of the games they have dotted around (maybe even win yourself a new teddy) and just soak in the Christmassy goodness that is around you. Honestly it is magical, especially with the one you love!

Ice Skating

This can be done indoor or outdoors, depending on your personal preference. Where I live, every year when they open the markets, they have a cute outdoor ice rink with a cafe in the middle – you and your partner can hobble around on the ice and then grab a hot drink or an alcoholic drink after to warm yourselves up!

See a Christmas Panto!

Last year, my boyfriend, his family and I went to see Sleeping Beauty in the theatre just after Christmas and it was a lovely day out! So nice in fact that we are doing it again this year – I’m so excited!

This is what we are seeing this year ^

Christmas ballet or symphony

This is something that has been on my bucket list for a few years now. I am overly fascinated by live orchestras and performances – they are so magical and I can’t take my eyes off of them. This is a super cute idea for you and your partner! Maybe even a good surprise gift/date!

Christmas light drive

This one is a hit or a miss, if one of you can drive – perfect! If you live in a city where loads of people decorate the outside of their house then why not take a drive in the evening and have a look at other people’s decorations? My family and I used to do this when we were younger and it is something I can imagine doing with my future family.

I hope this post gave you some inspiration! I also secretly hope a specific someone is reading and fancies planning these with me 😉
