The Christmas Tag – Blogmas Day 20

Happy Blogmas day 20! Only 5 more posts left, how has this month gone so quickly?! My boyfriend and I are currently lounging in a hotel in Edinburgh soaking up the last bits of Christmas together before we head home to celebrate Christmas with our own families – I’ve had such a great time!

I recently stumbled across this blog post -> The Christmas Tag by a lovely blogging couple called Dan and Lisa and I thought I would answer the questions myself!

What is your favourite Christmas movie?

The Polar Express is and will always be my favourite Christmas film! It is super magical and brings me so much joy and excitement!

Have you ever had a White Christmas?

Yes! In my 20 years on this earth, I have had one white Christmas –  which I have one photo to show for!  In Scotland we normally have a rainy Christmas and snow in March/April – super weird yes, but hey at least it feels Christmassy for a few months longer!

Where do you usually spend Christmas?

I always spend Christmas with my immediate family at home! I still live with my parents and two siblings and I’m not entirely sure what I will do when I eventually move out – Christmas at home feels so cosy to me.

What is your favourite Christmas song?

This question is literally impossible for me to answer! I love Christmas music so much – if you want to see my top 10, have a look here -> Click me!!

Do you open presents on Christmas Eve?

Yes! In my family we fill under the tree with presents to each other and from other family members and we open up all the presents after watching Christmassy film! I know that sounds absurd, but hey… we all have our traditions

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Fake fake fake, for as long as I can remember we have always had a fake tree! I’m not even sure if you can get real ones here? Maybe you can oops – but we have never considered it!

Are you a pro wrapper or do you fail at wrapping?

I am a complete fail, I don’t think it matter though…. I mean it’s going to get unwrapped anyway 😉

Seriously though if you have any tips or blog posts on present wrapping I sure wouldn’t give it a miss!

What makes the holidays special for you?

Cringy as it sounds, I just love spending time with my family, and especially now that I have a partner and I get to spend the week after Christmas at his house. It’s like having a second Christmas and it makes the winter/festive period incredible. I love family <3

Do you prefer to give or receive gifts?

Honestly both! I love treating people and getting them something they have always wanted – the smile it brings to their face makes me so happy! I also love the excitement of unwrapping a gift with my name on it!

What place would you like to visit for Christmas?

I think the place at the top of my list is New York! There are so many lights, Christmas tree and ice skating rinks and it just looks like the ultimate Christmas city!

Do you write and send Christmas cards?

Yes! All throughout primary school I would write every single one of my classmates and teachers a Christmas card! And now I just write to my closest friends and family – I think it is nice to send a little something something, to remind the people you love that you are thinking about them over Christmas!
