Vienna!

OH VIENNAA…. I love you!!

Last week my friend Chloe and I visited Vienna after feeling incredibly spontaneous at the end of December last year and booking a super inexpensive flight and Airbnb for two nights!

Vienna has to be one of the nicest countries I have ever visited. Everything was clean, the locals were super helpful and the food was amazingggg.

If you’d like to see more pictures from my trip, be sure to head over to my Instagram – Click Here! – I’m obsessed with posting on my insta ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s safe to say that one of my favourite things whilst travelling is looking at the intricate and unique architecture. I love buildings! My entire camera roll was full of photos from every single street we walked down.

There were castles everywhere, massive domed buildings and every block of flats had their own unique shape/design.

You see what I mean right? How can this be real!

Food!

When telling others about our travels, we got soooo many recommendations! One of those being Sachertorte, which is the traditional Austrian chocolate cake. It is fair to say that it did not disappoint and I could have eaten a whole one to myself…. definitely a 10/10!

We ate around at a few different places during the day, the amount of bread/pastry shops surrounding us was amazing – I mean, who doesn’t like bread?!

On our first morning in Vienna, we decided to try out a small cafe called Cafe Diglas. We both got a hot chocolate and a croissant – delish. However one thing I will mention if you are planning to visit Vienna sometime soon – bring cash! A few times Chloe and I ended up having to run out and find an ATM as there was no sign clearly saying “cash only”. Often the ATM’s charge you two euros and when you are in a rush/don’t want to walk for 20 minutes – you have to do it!

So remember to take out cash beforehand ๐Ÿ˜‰

Can we take a minute to appreciate that crispy bacon?!

Over the two days, we visited quite a few famous buildings and museums. Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to take pictures in the museums – but you can take my word when I say that they were amazing!

Here is a list of the museums/buildings we visited:

The price of the museums varied, but was usually somewhere between โ‚ฌ13-โ‚ฌ20.

Overall

This was an incredible trip, and I wish we had a few more days to explore further and try more traditional Austrian Food! It will 100% be on my list to re-visit with my partner.

Vienna we love you!
