Walking… something so underrated yet so beneficial for your health and mind
Going on a walk may seem like a waste of precious time however when you look at the benefits that follow a simple walk, you may reconsider your options.
Personally, walking is one of my favourite things to do, alone and with others. Even if it is a small walk, the fresh air and new scenery really inspires me and boosts my mood. Hence why I’m sharing the importance of walking!
- It’s a fact – exercise boosts your mood. Studies have shown that even a brisk walk is just as helpful as antidepressants in mild to moderate cases of depression.
- Walking gives you energy – in fact going on a walk is one of the best energisers around! It increases your blood circulation, therefore, giving you more energy! It also increases oxygen supply to most cells in your body possibly reducing headaches and tiredness.
- It can be a form of meditation – if you really don’t feel like sitting and meditating the most typical way, why not go for a walk? you are completely taking yourself away from your normal surroundings and finding a moment of peace. You are getting fresh air and can let all your problems go.
Alongside the benefits to your health and well-being, you can explore and find so many places to relax or take a few shots…. maybe for your Instagram page.
I personally find so much pleasure in taking my camera out with me and capturing the perfect shot.
