Personally, walking is one of my favourite things to do, alone and with others. Even if it is a small walk, the fresh air and new scenery really inspires me and boosts my mood. Hence why I’m sharing the importance of walking!

so.

  1. It’s a fact – exercise boosts your mood. Studies have shown that even a brisk walk is just as helpful as antidepressants in mild to moderate cases of depression.
  2. Walking gives you energy – in fact going on a walk is one of the best energisers around! It increases your blood circulation, therefore, giving you more energy! It also increases oxygen supply to most cells in your body possibly reducing headaches and tiredness.
  3. It can be a form of meditation –  if you really don’t feel like sitting and meditating the most typical way, why not go for a walk? you are completely taking yourself away from your normal surroundings and finding a moment of peace. You are getting fresh air and can let all your problems go.

Alongside the benefits to your health and well-being, you can explore and find so many places to relax or take a few shots…. maybe for your Instagram page.

I personally find so much pleasure in taking my camera out with me and capturing the perfect shot.

Here are a few of my favourite shots from simple walks..

If you are currently sat in bed doing nothing, why not go out for a 5-10 minute walk? You may find something nearby that you never knew existed – or even become inspired enough to write a post or take some photos!

  1. I absolutely LOVE walking. Getting a dog made me truly appreciate just how lovely it is, too as she gets so excited by even the simplest routes! I used to take my earphones and listen to music the entire time but I’ve found that it’s so much more of a relaxing experience just letting my mind wander instead.

    1. Walking is so fantastic, I reckon when I get a dog in the future it will be getting walked constantly! There is nothing better than taking in the fresh air and scenery around you – this world is beautiful!

  2. I love going on a walk! I used to do it all the time when I was a teenager and just listen to music, it was so great for me back then. Thankfully I have a dog now that gets me out every day so I don’t need a reason to go, but it’s definitely so great for the mind 🧡

  3. I love going for a walk when I’m feeling stressed or anxious. I’ve made it my mission to go for a walk at least once a week and I always feel so much better for it.
